"Gorky and the Evil Twin" by Timothy J. Hanley is a workbook of connect-the-dot puzzles designed to reinforce the use of various qualities which can be employed when approaching a problem. The approach to a problem is part of the solution. Readers are confronted with problems (puzzles) which have been altered to require a specific quality or approach to solve it. The reader is shown how specific qualities are used to solve different problems.

Specific global problems such as overpopulation, climate change, orbital debris, education, gender equality, and many others are not discussed in the book. Any analysis of these problems will demonstrate how these problems are global and the solutions will require a global response. This response will need to be adapted will to the problem itself, a recurring lesson in the book.

The book leads the reader through a fictional quest to complete eight challenges--the completion of the puzzles. Each puzzle corresponds with a quality and there are eight qualities highlighted in the book. It is hoped that the reader can then recognize a variety of qualities which can be applied to personal, work/school, or even the problems of the world.

About the Author: Timothy J. Hanley

The Evil Twin is on the loose! Immediately Timothy J. Hanley thrusts the reader into havoc in order to test the reader's ability to harness qualities on the recognition set. The book Gorky and the Evil Twin pulls in a variety of disciplines including graphic design implementations of creatively constructed abstract art puzzles whose challenges underscore some interesting themes. The puzzles were challenging to develop, so hopefully they are interesting to solve.

The work is the first book creation by the author and the rigors of graphic design were quite a challenge at the beginning, but he developed his skills with graphic design products in the creation of this book. When the book was finished, he even created some street art using his Gorky creations adorning the streets of Paris. The publishing of the book in four languages (English, French, Spanish, and Catalan) added another dimension of its creation.

A full-time IT consultant, Timothy is working on his next book and strives to make his book accessible to youth in more languages.
